Can I remain anonymous when I submit a dispute?
Of course.
Will the opposing party be publicly shamed?
We will leave that to your discretion. Remember, you’re not buying a verdict, we will review your case impartially and decide a winner. The winner will be able to use our branded “You’ve Been Burned” material however they like.
Will the opposing party know I filed the dispute?
Yes, in fairness they will receive a copy of the dispute and be able to respond to it. We prefer to hear all sides of an issue before beginning our analysis. We can not purport to be the moral arbiters if we do not begin with fairness.
Does it cost anything to submit a dispute?
Yes, there is a small fee to submit a dispute. This is due to the volume of submissions we receive and to weed out spam.
Will the opposing party be able to remain anonymous?
Possibly. We have that as an option for them and will take their preference into consideration. However, part of this is about exposing bad actors, and we think if the conduct is egregious enough, we should make a public service announcement.
Why are you doing this?
We want to help people resolve their conflicts. We hope this is a constructive process for people and helps them get the desired result, or at least find peace with this issue. We also know misinformation is real, and we try to combat that by delivering well researched content from many different perspectives.
